Fellow Mounties,
It sure went by fast, but it took so long…40 years to be exact.
A few things have changed since we graduated in 1967. Our music
doesn’t come on vinyl anymore. You can hardly find a turntable.
A slide rule is an antique and we don’t need separate
climate-controlled buildings to house our computers. We have
more computer power in our cell phones than the Apollo
astronauts had when they landed on the Moon. And Sears, Roebuck
got a lesson in retailing from Wal-Mart (an unheard of mom and
pop retailer from
Russellville,
Arkansas…
I wish I’d gotten some of their stock for graduation!)
A few things have remained the same. If a politician is moving
his lips, he’s probably lying. Taxes are too high. And kids
still drive too fast.
We’ve survived a lot, too. The Summer of Love,
Woodstock,
gas embargoes, crises of health care, energy, global warming,
terrorism, etc. And yet, the world still keeps on turning. One
thing we all can say we shared is our
Montclair
High School
graduation. And if you’re reading this, we wanted to invite you
to our 40th REUNION!
This website is dedicated to the class of
1967 and will continually be updated as your photos come in from
the reunion and address corrections are sent to us. So enjoy,
submit thoughts, ideas, memories and any help you can give us
with missing classmates would be appreciated. Let’s continue to
make this reunion one to remember!!
